According to P. Schrager of Fox Sports, Pittsburgh Steelers unrestricted free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is indeed spending Thursday with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after leaving his Wednesday meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars without a contract.
With Golden Tate and Eric Decker both now off the free agent market, Sanders and Julian Edelman will likely now become the next primary wide receiver free agent targets of a few teams.
It is unknown whether or not the Steelers would be interested in bringing back Sanders should his market value not be what he and his agent initially thought it would be, but being as the free agency signing period is just now entering day three, it’s way too early for both sides to worry about that.
With the 2014 wide receiver draft class perceived by many as being a deep one, teams really don’t seem to be very interested in spending a lot on the average free agent crop of wide receivers this offseason.
