New England Patriots free agent running back LeGarrette Blount was slated to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the next few days, but now that visit won’t take place until Friday, according to the National Football Post.
With the NFL owners meetings taking place next week in Orlando, Fla., Blount would have been unable to meet with Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert and head coach Mike Tomlin and that is apparently why the visit was rescheduled.
Blount, who was acquired by the Patriots in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last April, rushed for 772 yards and 7 touchdowns on 153 carries last season.
In addition to drawing interest from the Steelers this offseason, the Baltimore Ravens are also reportedly keeping close tabs on him as well.
