Season 4, Episode 78 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I start things off by talking about former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter being added to the coaching staff as a defensive assistant and how that move might help improve the play and production of Jarvis Jones as well as helping the locker room from a leadership standpoint.
General manager Kevin Colbert is spending time with the media prior to leaving for the scouting combine and we discuss what he had to say Thursday. This includes talk about LaMarr Woodley, possible cuts, free agents, the draft class, Sean Spence and much more.
We move on to talk about the results of a draft poll that I posted on the site a few days ago as it relates to ranking the priority by position. In addition, we discuss the tidbit that Gerry Dulac reported on Wednesday as it relates to the Steelers possibly drafting a “tall” wide receiver in the first two rounds.
In the second part of the podcast, we are joined by NFL Draft Analyst Dane Brugler of CBS Sports and NFL Draft Scout. We of course discuss the draft with him as he talks first about the entire process that he goes through leading up to draft day. In addition, we talk about the depth of the 2014 draft class as well as a few draft prospects and positions the Steelers might focus on this year.
