With Pittsburgh Steelers rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones a surprise inactive on Sunday for the game against the Green Bay Packers after coming down with an illness Saturday night, third year linebacker Chris Carter will make his fourth career start in his absence.
Carter, the Steelers fifth-round draft pick in 2011, has only played two snaps on defense this season and hasn’t started a game since Week 3 of last season.
Carter really has a lot to prove in this game after a disappointing start to his career that has included him missing several games with injuries. In the 104 snaps that carter played last season, he registered just a handful of tackles and didn’t record a sack, hit or hurry.
