The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their first injury report for the week as they prepare to host the Detroit Lions this coming Sunday at Heinz Field and it doesn’t include any major surprises.
Guard Ramon Foster (ankle), who suffered a right ankle injury this past Sunday, did not practice on Wednesday, but has reportedly ditched his walking boot. The hope is that he will be ready to play by Sunday, but if unable to, Guy Whimper will likely get the start at left guard.
Also sitting out Wednesday were safety Shamarko Thomas (ankle), defensive end Brett Keisel (foot), center Fernando Velasco (knee) and linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf). Thomas has already been ruled out for Sunday.
Limited on Wednesday were tackle Kelvin Beachum (hip), guard David DeCastro (ankle), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and tight end Heath Miller (not injury related).
Lastly, tackle Mike Adams (ribs) practiced fully.
