As expected, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be without the services of nose tackle Steve McLendon and outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley for their Thursday night game against the Baltimore Ravens. However, they will get defensive end Brett Keisel and safety Shamarko Thomas back this week.
With Woodley out again with a calf injury, Jason Worilds will make a third straight start at left outside linebacker. Worilds has filled in admirably for Woodley and he will need another big game Thursday night.
With McLendon down, Al Woods is expected to get the start at nose tackle in his place. However, it was hinted by head coach Mike Tomlin that Ziggy Hood might see some snaps at the position as well.
As far as the other inactives go, cornerback Isaiah Green, who was promoted this past week from the practice squad, gets a helmet over cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke.
Also not getting a helmet this week is linebacker Stevenson Sylvester, who is still trying to overcome a hamstring injury. With Sylvester down, linebacker Kion Wilson will presumably help out on special teams.
The Steelers will also again dress eight offensive linemen as center/guard Cody Wallace is active.
