New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib has been forced to miss the last two games with a hip injury and Mike Reiss of ESPN.com believes there is a good chance he sits out Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Talib practiced on a limited basis this week, but Reiss, who has covered the Patriots for several years, thinks they are leaning toward getting him fully healthy over the next few weeks as they will be on a bye after this game.
Should Talib indeed be down a third straight game, this would really bode well for Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, who is currently second in the league in receptions with 56.
In the games he has played this season, Talib has allowed just 13 catches on 33 passes thrown his way. He has registered four interceptions to go along with five passes defensed.
The inactives will be released 90 minutes before the game kicks off, so we will know for sure if Talib is playing by then.
