The Pittsburgh Steelers have now wrapped up their Wednesday practice as they prepare to play the Oakland Raiders Sunday and the first injury report of the week has now been released.
As expected, rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones (concussion) returned to work and practiced fully. Jones missed the game this past Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens but looks primed to return to the starting lineup Sunday in Oakland.
Also practicing fully on Wednesday were linebacker Lawrence Timmons (hand), linebacker LaMarr Woodley (knee), defensive end Cameron Heyward (illness) and wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (abdomen). Timmons has his left hand in a cast after breaking it late in the game against the Ravens, but he appears to be on track to play.
Limited Wednesday were tackle Kelvin Beachum (ribs), tackle Marcus Gilbert (quad), defensive end Brett Keisel (ribs), tight end Heath Miller (coaches decision) and tight end Richard Gordon (toe). Gilbert started the game against the Ravens but exited quickly because of his existing quad injury. Beachum and Keisel are expected to be ready to practice fully later in the week.
The only player that failed to practice Wednesday was wide receiver Markus Wheaton (finger) and he has already been ruled out for the Raiders game.
