Being as the Pittsburgh Steelers waived cornerback Buddy Jackson on Saturday, they will only have six cornerbacks dressed Saturday night for their preseason game against the New York Giants.
After starters Ike Taylor and William Gay exit the game early, the rest of the playing time figures to go to Josh Victorian, Isaiah Green, Ryan Steed and Devin Smith.
Victorian and Green could use the extra playing time as both could have a shot at making the 53 man roster thanks to all the injuries. Both Steed and Smith weren\’t with the team when training camp opened, so I wouldn\’t expect to see them until later on in the fourth quarter.
The Steelers are short numbers at the position because Cortez Allen, DeMarcus Van Dyke, Curtis Brown and Terry Hawthorne are all currently sidelined with injuries.
