The Pittsburgh Steelers have made yet another roster move on Thursday as the official NFL transaction release shows they have claimed tight end Michael Palmer off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks and waived tight end John Rabe to make room for him on the 90 man roster.
Palmer was originally signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson in 2010. In three seasons with the Falcons he played in 43 games and registered 21 catches for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Palmer had signed with the Seahawks on July 23 after being released in late May by the New York Giants.
Rabe wasn\’t with the Steelers long as the Minnesota product was signed to the roster on July 31.
Earlier in the day, the Steelers signed free agent tight end Nathan Overbay and waived tackle Mike Farrell.
