Earlier Monday, Michael C. Paranay had been arrested and charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, attempted robbery and conspiracy. He is now in jail.
“I didn\’t know it was a Steeler,” said Paranay to a reporter following his arrest. “I didn\’t do it. I don\’t know what else to say.”
Police reportedly used a cell phone that was dropped at the scene of the attempted carjacking along with surveillance video taken from a nearby restaurant to help them in their investigation that has led to the two arrest so far.
Adams, who reportedly fought back during the incident, is expected to be released from the hospital on Tuesday after needing surgery to repair two stab wounds.
