The 2013 preseason schedule for the Pittsburgh Steelers was released on Thursday and it shows that they will open up the exhibition schedule at home against the New York Giants.
The other home game will be in the third week of the preseason against Kansas City Chiefs.
The away preseason games will be against the Washington Redskins and the Carolina Panthers in weeks two and four respectively. The game against the Redskins will be national televised on Monday, August 19 on ESPN.
The dates and times for the first, third and fourth games have yet to be determined, but they will all be televised locally on KDKA-TV.
The all important third game against the Chiefs will feature new head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Alex Smith. The Chiefs were also responsible for sidelining Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger with a rib and shoulder injury in Week 10 last season.
