Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey is highly unlikely to play next Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Pouncey injured his MCL on the first offensive play in the loss to the Tennessee Titans, and despite reports suggesting that he might be ready for the Sunday night game, it appears that Doug Legursky will make the start at center.
The Steelers also will be without starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert in addition as rookie Mike Adams told the media on Monday that he is slated to start at right tackle against the Bengals after Gilbert suffered a right ankle or foot injury in the game Thursday night.
With both Gilbert and Pouncey likely to be out, we can expect the Steelers to make a roster move by Tuesday at the latest. To open up a spot for another offensive lineman the Steelers might release rookie nose tackle Alameda Ta\’amu following his felony arrest early Sunday morning.
