The Pittsburgh Steelers cut their roster down from 75 players to the league mandated 53 today and here are the roster moves that were made.
Linebacker Sean Spence was place on injured reserve after suffering a season ending knee injury Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers.
Punter Jeremy Kapinos waived injured. Tight end Weslye Saunders was placed on the reserve/suspended list to begin serving his four week suspension for testing positive for a banned substance.
Waived were safety Damon Cromartie-Smith, cornerback Terrence Frederick, cornerback Josh Victorian, linebacker Brandon Hicks, linebacker Marshall McFadden, defensive end Corbin Bryant, defensive end Igbinosun Ikponmwosa, defensive end Jake Stoller, quarterback Jerrod Johnson, running back DuJuan Harris, wide receiver Tyler Beiler, wide receiver Toney Clemons, wide receiver David Gilreath, wide receiver Marquis Maze, wide receiver Derrick Williams, guard Ryan Lee, guard John Malecki and guard Chris Scott.
Trai Essex was released.
