Not only did the Pittsburgh Steelers sign first round pick David DeCastro on Monday, but they also signed free agent offensive lineman Bridger Buche out of Eastern Michigan to the roster as well.
Buche measured in at 6033 at his pro day back in March and weighed 305 pounds. He did 20 reps on the bench and ran the 40 in a reported 5.43 seconds to go along with a reported 4.78 short shuttle time.
Buche started his career as a tight end in 2007 and moved to offensive tackle in 2008, where he started all 12 games at right tackle. In 2009 he sat out the entire season with a hip injury suffered before the start of the season, but he returned in 2010 to start all 12 games at left tackle. Last year he started all 10 games he played in.
Buche should be considered only a camp body at this point.
