Steelers Announce Hightower, James, Paulson & Silatolu As Pre Draft Visitors

The Thursday pre draft visitors for the Pittsburgh Steelers have been announced via Twitter and they include Alabama linebacker Dont\’a Hightower, Oregon running back LaMichael James, Oregon tight end David Paulson and Midwestern State guard Amini Silatolu. It was reported last night that Courtney Upshaw was also in town as part of the group of players that visited Wednesday, but that has yet to be confirmed by a major media outlet or the Steelers as of yet.

James measured in at the NFL combine at 5080 and weighed 194 pounds. He ran the 40 in 4.45 seconds and put up 15 reps on the bench. He had a 35 inch vertical jump to go along with a 10\’03” broad jump. His short shuttle time was 4.12 seconds. He is projected as a second or third round pick on draft day.

Paulson measured in at the combine at 6031 and weighed 246 pounds. He was timed at 4.93 in the 40 with a 4.40 short shuttle time. He did 21 reps on the bench to go along with a 32 inch vertical and a 09\’02” broad jump. He is projected to be a late round pick that could possibly go undrafted. Paulson caught 31 passes for 438 yards in 2011 to go along with 6 touchdowns.

Silatolu measured in at 6034 at the combine and weighed 311 pounds.He put up 28 reps on the bench to go along with a 5.43 40 yard dash time and a 4.87 short shuttle time. He is a wide bodied player that played left tackle at Midwestern State. He projects as a guard at the next level. He has great feet and good agility and is great getting to second level blocks when asked. Has a mean streak.
