It was announced today that the second round picks for each team in the upcoming 2012 NFL draft will be announced by retired players from each NFL club. This is the the second straight year that this will take place.
Announcing the second round pick this year for the Pittsburgh Steelers will be future Hall of Fame center Dermontti Dawson, who will be inducted into Canton this coming summer. Last year it was Hall of Fame running back Franco Harris that announced the Steelers second round selection of tackle Marcus Gilbert as the 63rd overall pick in the 2011 draft.
