Season 2, Episode 92 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with David Todd and concentrate on quite a bit of draft talk in this episode. Please forgive the sound quality today as David had to do the show from New York via a cell phone.
As far as draft talk we fully examine the prospects of Dont\’a Hightower being drafted in round 1 by the Steelers. Could Luke Kuechly drop like some are trying to suggest? We also talk about the possibility of the Steelers signing an inside BUCK linebacker prior to the draft to lessen that need. We explore several of the candidates and reason as to whether or not Stanford guard David DeCastro has any shot of falling that low. Are there any players the Steelers would be willing to trade up a few spots for in the first round? Personally I don\’t think so and David and I think if the Steelers move at all in round one, it will be down a few places.
We do not stop there as we talk about Dontari Poe, Jonathan Martin, Mike Adams and Coby Fleener as well as a few others. Would the Steelers really consider a pass catching only tight end in round one? I certainly have my doubts. How early is too early for the Steelers to draft a wide receiver or running back, if and when they take one? Is a free agent running back addition a better possibility instead? We discuss all of these topics.
We get to a few Twitter questions that have come in regarding Jason Worilds, Chris Carter and Mike Wallace and find a few more talking points to mix in before we wrap up the Friday show. We also pass on the news about the free agent visits that took place on Friday and the pre draft visit of Brandon Brooks, the Miami (Ohio) guard that I have been very high on.
