Season 2, Episode 81 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I jump right intothe 2012 NFL combine after we talk about a few current stories in regards to the 2012 salary cap. We discuss several of the players performances at the combine that the Steelers likely have their eyes on early in the draft and that of course includes Dontari Poe, Dont\’a Hightower, Cordy Glenn and a few others. We discuss the latest article from Pat Kirwan as it relates to David DeCastro and wonder how far he could end up falling in the first round. I also cover the rating system that Kirwan likes to use that includes the bench press, vertical jum and broad jump numbers that gives him a explosion score to rate by.
We move on to discuss the Steelers needs in relation to the offensive line and how they need to get more athletic. That means either a guard or tackle early in the draft and of course I rehash my long withstanding notion that Willie Colon could always be kicked inside to guard. We discuss several other draft hopeful players and positions in relation to the combine and David puts me on the spot to choose between DeCastro, Poe and Hightower as we sit here in late February.
We close it out by answering a listener email in regards to restricted free agency and offer sheets.
