Season 2, Episode 67 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with David Todd back in New York we recap the Pittsburgh Steelers overtime loss to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Wild Card game. We sort of start our recap backwards and talk about the game winning play on the first play of overtime from Tim Tebow to Demaryius Thomas. It was a great play call against the right defense and Tebow made the throw. We break down the play pretty good along with things that led up to it. Sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the other team. We sure do.
After talking about some key injuries suffered in the game we discuss and recap everything. The 5 big plays made by Tebow, the nightmare game by Ike Taylor, how they beat Troy Polamalu on a big play and many more thoughts on the defense. We discuss the offense as well and the several early drops. We both were not happy with the game Mike Wallace had, but are excited Emmanuel Sanders was out there producing. The Ben Roethlisberger bad decisions are discussed and we think the offensive line and that injured ankle once again led to some inaccuracies.
The bad snaps by Doug Legursky are talked about along with the bad clock management once again by the Steelers. This is certainly a concern from this past season. We close the show talking about a few players that might not be back next year and go a little in detail on each.
The show is over an hour long today and chock full of talking points. Please excuse the coughing and sneezing by David as he currently has an airplane cold. We hope to be back on Friday to start talking more about the Steelers offseason and discuss the upcoming games this weekend as well.
