Season 2, Episode 69 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with David Todd back in the co-host chair we talk about the playoff games this past weekend in the Divisional Round and continue to cry about the Steelers loss to the Denver Broncos in the Wild Card round. It is still very hard to get over and will be for some time. The first half of the show we talk about how close the Houston Texans were to beating the Baltimore Ravens despite their turnovers and how San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith answered the critics against the New Orleans Saints. Although I did not pick the New York Giants to beat the Green Bay Packers, I note how if any team was going to upset them, it would be the Giants. Is the race to the Lombardi Trophy wide open now? We discuss it part one.
We move on to talk about the Steelers start of the offseason and the several tough decisions they will have moving forward into free agency. We discuss several of the restricted, unrestricted and exclusive rights free agents as well as the tough decisions the Steelers have facing them in regards to Casey Hampton, James Farrior and Larry Foote. Would the Steelers really consider moving Ziggy Hood to nose tackle if Hampton is let go? We discuss that and depth at middle linebacker as well.
David and I have only scratched the surface with our offseason talk and hope to be back later this week to talk about the interview that Art Rooney II gave to the Pittsburgh beat writers after we recorded the show today. We will have podcast up all throughout the offseason so we hope you stay tuned in with us.
