The first playoff wild card game of the 2011-2012 season is now in the books as the Houston Texans beat the Cincinnati Bengals 31-10 down in Houston. It was the first playoff win in Texans history.
Texans running back Arian Foster rushed for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns on 24 carries and Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was intercepted 3 times with 1 being returned for a touchdown by rookie defensive end J.J. Watt late in the first half.
The win by the Texans guarantees they will travel to Baltimore next Sunday to play the #2 seed Baltimore Ravens. The #1 seed New England Patriots will host either the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Denver Broncos next Saturday depending on the outcome of the other AFC wild card game on Sunday in Denver.
Should the Steelers beat the Broncos, it will be the second time they will face the Patriots this season as the beat them 25-17 back in week 8 at Heinz Field.
