Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward was on 93.7 The Fan today and said he will be ready for the Sunday game against the Bengals after getting knocked out of the game this past Sunday night against the Ravens with concussion-like symptoms. Ward was hit helmet-to-helmet by Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis while attempting to a haul in a short pass early in the second quarter.
Ward needed help getting off the field and was obviously shaken up pretty good by the hit. He was asked how he was feeling this morning and replied, “I\’m great, I\’m fine. I got a little dinged up, but I will be ready for Cincinnati.” Ward also said he wanted to return to the game against the Ravens, but was not allowed to. Mike Tomlin will update the condition of Ward and the other injured players during his Tuesday weekly press conference. We will have the full presser, injury report and talking points up on site immediately after so please check back.
