The Steelers were in pads on Thursday as they get ready to take on the Houston Texans this Sunday down in Houston. The Thursday injury report is out and it shows that wide receiver Arnaz Battle (knee), tackle Jonathan Scott (ankle), guard Doug Legursky and defensive end Brett Keisel (knee) did not practice again today. All four look highly unlikely to play this Sunday. Also added to the injury report today was defensive tackle Steve McLendon (illness) as he was out sick today. Linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) was also added to the injury report today as limited on Thursday. Wide receiver Mike Wallace (ribs) practiced fully today after being limited on Wednesday. Linebacker James Farrior (not injury related), wide receiver Hines Ward (not injury related) and defensive end Aaron Smith (not injury related) all practiced fully on Thursday after having Wednesday off. All three have been removed from the injury report.
For the Texans on Thursday, cornerback Sherrick McManis (hamstring) and running back Derrick Ward (ankle, shoulder) both did not practice for a second straight day and likely will be out on Sunday. Running back Lawrence Vickers (illness) was added to the injury report today after sitting out sick. wide receiver Andre Johnson (knee, toe) returned after sitting out on Wednesday, but was limited. Tight end Joel Dreessen (knee), cornerback Kareem Jackson (knee), wide receiver Jacoby Jones (knee), wide receiver Kevin Walter (shoulder) and linebacker Mario Williams (knee) were all limited for a second straight day on Thursday. Guard Thomas Austin (knee), linebacker Bryan Braman (wrist), guard Mike Brisiel (shoulder), running back Arian Foster (hamstring), linebacker DeMeco Ryans (knee, elbow) and running back Ben Tate (back, hip) all practiced fully for a second straight day as well.
