Ed Bouchette reports that contract extension negotiations with Troy Polamalu are ongoing, but I warn everyone not to get their hopes up that an extension will be reached by Sunday. The Steelers do not do contracts during the season typically, but Polamalu might be an exception to the rule. I am not saying it will not happen by Sunday, but I now see it as highly unlikely.
EA Sports has run their Madden NFL 12 regular season simulation and have the Steelers going 13-3 this year. They have Rashard Mendenhall rushing for 1350 yards with 10 touchdowns. LaMarr Woodley with 10.5 sacks and Polamalu getting 6 interceptions.
Speaking of Woodley, he just wants to win and explained his offseason comments on NFL Total Access to Teresa Varley recently. Woodley says the comments were not directed at a Joe Flacco, but were more about his team.
