The Steelers have signed back tight end Jamie McCoy to the practice squad and have released recently signed Dorin Dickerson on Thursday. Dickerson was just signed on Monday after working out for the Steelers last week following his release from the Texans.
Dickerson is a product of the University of Pittsburgh and was originally drafted by the Texans in the 7th round of the 2010 NFL draft. The early word is that Dickerson may have left the team, but that has yet to be confirmed.
UPDATE: Dickerson has denied on Twitter that he quit the team and Mark Kaboly is now reporting that he was placed on the practice squad injured list. More as it becomes available.
