Season 2, Episode 6 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I really cover a lot in this very fast paced episode. We start with the new LaMarr Woodley contract and then go into the recent visit of free agent receiver Jerricho Cotchery and how he left town without a contract. It does not bother David too much, but I still voice my ongoing concerns about the health of Emmanuel Sanders and the total progression of Antonio Brown and if he is ready to assume the number three role if called upon. David thinks Tyler Grisham could still make the 53 man roster and we quickly go over the rest of the receivers with an outside chance.
We move on to talk about the concerns at left tackle especially if Jonathan Scott continues to be hampered by his ankle injury and both continue to agree that Tony Hills can\’t make this roster as the left tackle back-up and Marcus Gilbert could be over his head playing there as a rookie. We talk about the comments made today by Kevin Colbert on Max Starks and Flozell Adams and how the door is still not shut on their return. Plenty of offensive line talk in this segment.
We move forward and discuss the comments made by line backer coach Keith Butler in an attempt to send a message to second year linebacker Jason Worilds and how he needs to be able to play outside should either James Harrison or Woodley go down as the Steelers really need Lawrence Timmons to stay inside if at all possible. Speaking of Timmons, we discuss if he or Troy Polamalu should be next in line for a new contract and both of us have different views on who should get done now and who could possibly wear the tag next year. We both agree that both players should get done at some point.
We wind down with my short views on a few players thus far in camp as David rapid fires names at me and we end with the Steelers win over/under odds that have opened at 10.5. Fast moving show and we hope you enjoy it.
