You can bet on damn near anything these days and now thanks to WagerWeb, you can place a prop bet on how much Steelers linebacker James Harrison will be be fined by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for the comments he made in the recent issue of Men\’s Journal. The favorite thus far is the -200 bet that the fine handed down by the start of the season will be between $10,000-$19,999, followed next by the +100 bet that the fine will be between $20,000-$29,999. The long shot bet currently sits at +800 that the fine will be $50,000 or greater.
In addition to that you can place a bet on if the Steelers will release Harrison or more specifically if he will be on the opening day active roster. If Harrison is on the active roster at the start of the season then the “No” bet is deemed the winner. Crafty wording as I suppose he could be placed ion the suspended list, but I see that unlikely right now. This looks like easy money to me as I pointed out recently, that it is very fiscally irresponsible for the Steelers to release Harrison just for speaking his mind.
