Another day and more speculation on where Steelers free agent cornerback Ike Taylor might land if not back in Pittsburgh. Adam Caplan of FoxSports.com released his top 15 sought after defensive free agents today and has Taylor listed 13th on his list. Caplan list the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles and the Steelers all as possible suitors for the services of Taylor. The Steelers being a no-brainer. Caplan continues on to say that according to multiple sources, the Eagles will show strong interest in Taylor once free agency begins. He also says that Taylor is a good fit as the Eagles will possibly be playing more zone in 2011 and less man coverage.
It should be noted that Caplan also list the Eagles as possible suitors for free agents Nnamdi Asomugha and Johnathan Joseph as well as Caplan says the Eagles have at least three to four veteran cornerbacks they will have interest in. Not to be lost in all of this is the ongoing speculation that the Eagles could try to trade quarterback Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Right now all of this seems like heavy speculation more than anything and there also could be some agents pushing the rumor train a bit harder to help create buzz for their clients.
