Crown Royal emailed out some news that Steelers receiver Hines Ward recently sent Crown Royal XR (Extra Rare) in personally embroidered bags to the three judges of Dancing with the Stars following his win on the dance reality show last month. Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli were all recipients of the rare blend gift from Ward.
The XR blend is described as a limited-edition blend that is made from the last remaining batch of whiskey distilled at the Waterloo distillery that burned down in 1993. Only a small amount of the whiskey was saved from the blaze.
This is not the first time that Ward has given the aged XR blend as a gift, as he rewarded his teammates following the Super Bowl XLIII win against the Cardinals with the extra rare whiskey complete with personalized bags as well to commemorate the win. Classy guy and a classy whiskey as well.
