The Steelers continued their practice preparations on Thursday for the week 11 home game on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. S Will Allen (concussion), DE Nick Eason (illness) and S Troy Polamalu (Achilles) all sat again on Thursday. Both Eason and Polamalu hope to practice on Friday. DE Aaron Smith (triceps) did not practice again as usual and is already ruled out for Sunday. DT Steve McLendon (illness) worked fully and has been removed from the injury report after sitting out sick on Wednesday. LB Lawrence Timmons (hip), CB Crezdon Butler (quad) and G Chris Kemoeatu (ankle) all practiced fully on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. DE Brett Keisel (hamstring ) remains limited again today. WR Hines Ward (concussion) practiced fully for the second straight day.
Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha (ankle), TE Zach Miller (arch) and DT John Henderson (right foot) were limited at practice yesterday but are on track to play Sunday, coach Tom Cable said. WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (hamstring) was also limited, his status remains up in the air.
