Steelers Falcons 2010 Week 1 Wednesday Injury Report & Participation Report Below:
It is important to remember that players are given practice participation reports and injury for the first two days of practice. Teams do not designate players doubtful, questionable or probable until Friday on a normal game week. A team may rule a player out though at any time during the week.
The Steelers officially opened up the first official day of week 1 practice on Wednesday as a healthy unit as only QB Byron Leftwich (knee) was the lone player listed on injury report that did not practice. Normally the older veterans are given Wednesday off, but WR Hines Ward, DE Aaron Smith and LB James Farrior all worked fully according to reports. This will probably change on Wednesdays going forward.
For the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday, WR Michael Jenkins (shoulder) and OL Joe Hawley (hip) did not practice. DT Corey Peters (knee) and CB Brent Grimes (hip) were limited in participation on the injury report.
