Here we are week 3 and Steelers rookie running back Rashard Mendenhall has only carried the ball 10 times thus far. Mendenhall will likely equal that number this week alone versus the Philadelphia Eagles as the Steelers must start to lighten the load on Willie Parker. Parker has 14 more carries than any back in the league entering this week and will need to be spelled more starting this week. Mendenhall did not have any carries last week versus the division rival Browns. Mendenhall, who has been working on securing the football, will be counted on to shorten the game as the Steelers look to play keep away from the Eagles this week. If Parker and Mendenhall can combine for 150 rushing yards, then the Steelers should win.
