The Pittsburgh Steelers filled the open spot on their practice squad Wednesday by signing rookie free agent guard Ronald Patrick.
Patrick was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys in May as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina. He spent the first several weeks of the season on the Cowboys practice squad before finally being released at the end of September.
Patrick was a two-year starter at South Carolina.
Patrick replaces guard Adam Gettis, who was signed off of the Steelers practice squad Tuesday by the New York Giants.
