Season 13, Episode 118 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the annual pre-draft press conference from earlier in the day that included general manager Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin.
We focus in on several main talking points to come out of the Khan/Tomlin press conference and that includes the likelihood of the team trading up in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft and down from the 32nd overall pick, the first selection in the second round. We go through several different scenarios related to the trading of early round picks and how the main takeaway from Monday morning is that the Steelers really probably want to move out of the 32nd overall selection.
We discuss what weas said Monday morning about defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal, the offseason status of new wide receiver Allen Robinson II and inside linebacker Cole Holcomb when it comes to them both rehabbing from 2022 injuries and subsequent surgeries and much more from the press conference.
Alex and I talk quite in-depth about the 2023 draft class when it comes to offensive players. We go through each offensive position group and discuss numerous players in this segment.
We save some time to talk about players that Alex listed in a Sunday post that we would have liked to have seen the Steelers show more visible interest in during the pre-draft process.
We answer several listener questions late in this show to close things out. We mix in other Steelers talk throughout this episode that is not noted in this recap post.
