The Pittsburgh Steelers pulled out a tough home win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday but the team did have a few players suffer injuries during the contest.
According to Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin during his post-game press conference, wide receiver Ryan Switzer (back) and outside linebacker Olasunkanmi Adeniyi (hip) were both injured during the team’s Sunday home win over the Rams. Both players are being evaluated, according to Tomlin. Both seemingly were injured during the second half of the game as well.
The Steelers Sunday win won’t be celebrated long as the team must now quickly get ready to play the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night to kickoff Week 11 of the NFL season.
We’ve got to go to Cleveland for Thursday night, so no rest for the weary, Tomlin said after Sunday’s win over the Rams.
With it being a short, it will be interesting to see if Switzer and
Adeniyi can both get healthy enough in time to play against the Browns. Additionally, it will also be interesting to see if any of the four players who missed Sunday;’s game against the Rams due to injuries, running back James Conner (shoulder), running back Benny Snell Jr. (knee), fullback Roosevelt Nix (knee) and guard Ramon Foster (concussion), can get healthy in time to play against the Browns.
The Steelers first injury report of Week 11 will likely be released on Monday and it will likely be an estimation report. Tomlin will next meet the media on Monday and likely update the health of the team at that time.
