The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their list of seven players who will be inactive for the team’s Sunday night Week 6 road game against the Los Angeles Chargers and as expected, it includes the six players who were ruled out on the team’s injury report since Friday afternoon are included.
Inactive for the Steelers Sunday night after being officially ruled out for the Week 5 game on the injury report are fullback Roosevelt Nix (knee), quarterback Mason Rudolph (concussion), running back Jaylen Samuels (knee), wide receiver James Washington (shoulder), inside linebacker Mark Barron (hamstring), and cornerback Steven Nelson (groin).
This will mark the fifth consecutive game that Nix has missed with a knee injury he sustained in Week 1. This will, however, be the first game missed this season for Rudolph, Samuels, Washington, Barron and Nelson, all of whom were injured last Sunday.
With Washington sidelined, wide receiver Donte Moncrief will dress Sunday night. With Nelson out, cornerback Artie Burns is expected to start. The Steelers promoted running back Trey Edmunds and quarterback Paxton Lynch from the team’s practice squad on Friday and both are dressed as backups Sunday night.
The other Steelers inactive player for Week 6 is a healthy scratch and it’s rookie defensive end Isaiah Buggs.
