Steelers TE Vance McDonald Leaves Game Against 49ers With Shoulder Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently playing the San Francisco 49ers and lead 6-0 in the second quarter but tight end Vance McDonald has left the game with an injury.

According to Burt Lauten, the Steelers public relations director, McDonald now has a shoulder injury and is questionable to return to today’s game. McDonald caught one pass for 10 yards before leaving the game injured.

The Steelers did dress three tight ends on Sunday as rookie Zach Gentry was given a helmet for the first time this season. Also dressed is tight end Xavier Grimble.

McDonald has had problems staying healthy during his NFL career and we can only hope his shoulder issue isn’t one that is serious. McDonald had two touchdown receptions in the team’s week 2 home loss.
