Season 10, Episode 7 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Sunday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing Pittsburgh Steelers Saturday night preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Alex and I go position group by position group as part of us recapping the Steelers win over the Chiefs. We start with the quarterback position and spend a lot of time talking about the three that are battling for two spots. Does Devlin Hodges have an even better shot at sticking around on the 53-man roster or the practice squad. We discuss.
It takes us a while to get to the defensive play from Saturday night, but we finally make it. We discuss the stellar play of outside linebackers T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree and if Tuzar Skipper can ultimately make the 53-man roster. We also discuss the chances of Ulysees Gilbert III following him having another nice showing Saturday night. We also cover the play of cornerback Mike Hilton Saturday night and talk a little about the snaps he played at free safety.
Can running back Trey Edmunds make this year’s 53-man roster as a special teams player and fourth running back? Alex and I discuss that possibility briefly.
After breaking down the Steelers game against the Chiefs, Alex and I are joined on the show once again by Dr. Melanie Friedlander, who has covered and analyzed Steelers injuries for us on the site for several years now. In this interview, Dr. Mel fills us in on what is currently known about the meniscus injury that Steelers outside linebacker Olasunkanmi Adeniyi had surgical repaired on Friday and what the expected recovery time is for that.
