The Auburn pro day is taking place on Friday and the Pittsburgh Steelers are well-represented at it.
According to Kevin Weidl of ESPN, Mike Tomlin, Joey Porter and Kevin Colbert are all in attendance.
Those three are all likely present to see Auburn edge rusher Carl Lawson work out on Friday as he’s considered to be one of several players who figures to be drafted in the first few rounds.
Lawson, who measured in at 6016, 261-pounds at the recently concluded NFL scouting combine, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.67 seconds while in Indianapolis and that included an unofficial 10-yard split time of 1.60-seconds. He also posted impressive short shuttle (4.19) and three-cone (7.46) times as well and 35 reps on the bench.
Lawson is reportedly sitting on his combine numbers and will only participate in the on field drills on Friday.
Lawson recorded 9 sacks last season and appeared to erase concerns about his ability to stay healthy after missing several games in 2015 and the entire 2014 season due to a cracked hip and torn knee ligament.
