Super Bowl Sunday is almost upon us once again and that means millions and millions of dollars will be spent on commercials. While some companies refuse to release their commercials ahead of the big game, Pizza Hut isn’t one of them this year when it comes to one of their ads that features Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams.
In the pizza giant’s latest commercial that you can watch below, Williams trains a delivery rookie at the Pizza Hut Delivery Combine, in advance of the Big Game – the chain’s busiest day of the year. Williams says he’s a member of the Pizza Hut Class of 2000 during the commercial. In case you don’t want to do the math, Williams was still in high school in Arkansas in 2000.
“As a proud Pizza Hut alum, I know pro football players aren’t the only ones working hard during the Big Game,” said Williams, according to a Pizza Hut press release. “Agility, balance and speed are important skills on the field and for pizza deliveries. These videos are a fun way to show the dedication Pizza Hut has to preparing its team members to provide the best customer experience during their busiest day of the year.”
Last year, Williams was in Super Bowl commercial for Pantene along with his daughter. He also was featured in a few commercials this past season as part of the NFL Pink and Football is Family promotions.
Recently, Williams hinted that he’s open to playing at least one more season. He is currently scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent during the offseason after playing his last two seasons in Pittsburgh.
