The Miami Dolphins have now released their final injury report ahead of their Sunday Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and it doesn’t include any encouraging news when it comes to one key member of their secondary.
After failing to practice again on Friday, Dolphins cornerback Byron Maxwell (ankle) has been listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Steelers. Maxwell hasn’t played since Week 15 and should he ultimately sit out the Wild Card game, cornerback Tony Lippett (thigh) would likely start again in his place. Lippett, by the way, ends the week listed as questionable after practicing fully all week.
Also ending the week listed as questionable for the Dolphins are linebacker Jelani Jenkins (knee), safety Bacarri Rambo (chest) and center Kraig Urbik (knee). Jenkins and Rambo were both limited again during the Dolphins Friday practice. Urbik, on the other hand, practiced fully again on Friday and will thus start at center Sunday against the Steelers.
Even though Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee) was able to practice on a limited basis on Friday he was still ruled out for Sunday’s game on the team’s injury report as expected.
