Five Pittsburgh Steelers have made this year’s Pro Bowl, according to the rosters that were released moments ago. No big surprises to the list. Here are your five.
Ben Roethlisberger
Le’Veon Bell
Antonio Brown
Maurkice Pouncey
David DeCastro
This is Roethlisberger, Pouncey, and Brown’s fifth Pro Bowl berth while Bell and DeCastro have been selected for a second time.
Brown and Bell have been named starters for the AFC this year. The rest are reserves.
Last year, Brown, Ben, and DeCastro made the team.
No Steelers on the defensive side of the football were selected despite being able to make a strong argument for Ryan Shazier, who is playing at an incredibly high level. However, he missed several games this season and the Pro Bowl takes only two inside linebackers, selecting Dont’a Hightower and C.J. Mosley, the latter the player Shazier will most often be compared to.
Again, you can check out the complete list here at NFL.com. The Pro Bowl will kick off on January 29th, 2017.
