If you are on Twitter, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown needs your help.
With it nearly guaranteed that New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall will lose his preseason car bet with Brown, the Steelers wide receiver is hoping that fans will urge Marshall to do the right thing and pay up on his bet.
“If you guys follow Brandon Marshall, you guys hit him up and say send me the pick slip,” Brown said Friday.
In case you’ve been hiding underneath a rock, Marshall put up his Porsche against Brown’s Rolls-Royce, with the winner being determined by whoever had the most receiving yards in the 2016 season. Should Brown wind up sitting out the Steelers regular season finale against the Cleveland Browns, Marshall would need 497 in the Jets season finale to pass him.
It should be noted that there’s some question as to whether or not Marshall actually owns that Porsche that bet. If he indeed does, does Brown believe Marshall will pay up?
“He’s a man of his word, a veteran-type player, we’ll see whether he’ll come through,” Brown said.
Should Marshall ultimately give Brown the Porsche pink slip, the Steelers wide receiver again stated that he plans on donating to Marshall’s foundation, Project 375.
I don’t need it, I’ve got a lot of cars myself,” Brown said. “So [I’ll] just donate [it] to his foundation, give back to some people that need.”
