Season 7, Episode 47 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Monday show, David Todd and I get right to talking about what transpired in the Sunday games around the NFL and what several of the outcomes mean for the Pittsburgh Steelers as it relates to their chances of making the playoffs.
In addition to breaking down several remaining schedules of a few AFC teams, David and I discuss what transpired at the end of the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and whether or not the league’s competition committee needs to look at such plays during the offseason.
Last week it was announced that Steelers practice squad running back Karlos Williams has been suspended for the next 10 games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy so David and I make sure to hit on that topic.
Will the Steelers defense be able to improve enough during the final five weeks of the season to make a difference? After all, they do have several players seeing the field a lot more as of a few weeks ago. Who is the favorite in the AFC right now and how do those teams’ defenses look? We explore that topic and throw a few stats at you.
The Steelers will host the New York Giants next Sunday so David and I slowly start looking ahead to that game. Will this be the best offense the Steelers will face in their final five games? We discuss.
Head coach Mike Tomlin will hold his weekly press conference on Tuesday and David lets you know what he’s thinking about asking him during the session.
