The Pittsburgh Steelers have now completed their Thursday practice ahead of Sunday’s road game against the Cleveland Browns and their Thursday injury report includes a few positive developments.
Not practicing again on Thursday were defensive end Cameron Heyward (pectoral), wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey (foot), safety Shamarko Thomas (groin), wide receiver Markus Wheaton (shoulder), and running back DeAngelo Williams (knee).
Heyward will be placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured list on Saturday as he is out for the season. As for the other four players who failed to practice Thursday, none of them are expected to play Sunday against the Browns.
Limited again on Thursday was safety Jordan Dangerfield (groin) and it will now be interesting to see if he’s able to practice fully on Friday.
After being limited on Wednesday, wide receiver Sammie Coates (finger), tight end Xavier Grimble (quadricep) and tight end Ladarius Green (knee) were all able to practice fully on Thursday. All three look to be on course to play Sunday in Cleveland.
As expected, after sitting out Wednesday’s practice, center Maurkice Pouncey (finger) practiced fully on Thursday and is good to go for the game against the Browns.
