The Dallas Cowboys have now released their Friday injury report ahead of Sunday’s game at Heinz Field against the Pittsburgh Steelers and it includes just two players listed as out for that contest.
Not surprisingly, safety Barry Church (forearm) and cornerback Morris Claiborne (groin) were the players ruled out on Friday as both are currently dealing with long term injuries. Replacing Church and Claiborne on Sunday against the Steelers will be safety J.J. Wilcox and cornerback Brandon Carr.
After sitting out on Wednesday and Thursday, tackle Tyron Smith (back) practiced on a limited basis Friday and ends the week listed as questionable. Additionally, it looks like guard Ronald Leary (concussion) might play Sunday against the Steelers after practicing fully on Friday. Leary, like Smith, failed to practice on Wednesday and Thursday and he ends the week listed as questionable as well.
Defensive end Ryan Davis (hamstring), tackle Chaz Green (foot) and defensive end Demarcus Lawrence (back, shoulder), wide receiver Dez Bryant (knee) and quarterback Tony Romo (back) all end the week listed as questionable as well. Bryant, Romo and Davis all practiced fully on Friday. However, Lawrence was limited while Green failed to practice after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday.
Romo is not expected to be active Sunday against the Steelers.
