2016 NFL Week 10: Steelers Friday Night Five Questions

Steelers Depot Friday Night Five Questions

Happy Friday my friends and welcome to the weekend.

Saturday will mark two weeks since my wife left for Florida and she’ll be gone until after Thanksgiving. That has given me enough time to start looking and smelling like a bum. I haven’t shaved and have barely showered since she left. Oh, and the kitchen is a disaster. In other words, I am loving life right now. Pigs love slop! Sure, I miss her, but it’s been fun having zero responsibilities.

Ok, the Pittsburgh Steelers will open the second half of their regular season Sunday at home against the Dallas Cowboys and this is going to be one tough game for them to win. Prior to the start of the regular season, the Steelers were listed as 8.5-point favorites over the Cowboys. As I type this, they are 2.5-point favorites.

Remember when I mocked quarterback Dak Prescott to the Steelers way back in March? It’s fun to go back and read all I wrote then as well as the comments. Mock drafts are losing propositions for the most part and they’re probably only worth reading a full year after they’re posted. Am I right? Look at it this way, had the Steelers drafted Prescott, at least they wouldn’t be playing against him this Sunday. lol Say what you will, but Prescott has looked pretty amazing so far this season and I hope he has an off-day Sunday at Heinz Field.

As usual, I have five questions for you to answer on this Friday evening and I hope you will provide me and others some entertainment by doing just that in the comments below. Have a great weekend and I really hope I get to talk about how wrong I was about this upcoming game on the Monday podcast.

Go Steelers!

1 – Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is averaging 111.4 yards rushing per game so far this season. Will Elliot be over or under his season average Sunday against the Steelers?

2 – Which is more likely to happen on Sunday against the Cowboys: Eli Rogers catching 7 or more passes, or Sammie Coates registering 70 or more yards receiving?

3 – Assuming tight end Ladarius Green is ultimately activated to the 53-man roster on Saturday (big assumption), predict his debut stat-line against the Cowboys.

4 – Being as the Steelers defense might have to play a lot of base 3-4 on Sunday, are you fine with rookie Artie Burns playing all those snaps opposite Ross Cockrell?

5 – Call your shot now by predicting the Steelers second half record.

Bonus – Predict Sunday’s final score and you better have a good reason if you pick the Steelers. I want to really hear why you think the Steelers might win this game.
