The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their inactive list for Sunday’s Week 5 home game against the New York Jets and as expected, the seven players ruled out on the Friday injury report are included on it
Inactive this week because of injuries are fullback Roosevelt Nix (back), center/guard Cody Wallace (knee), cornerback Justin Gilbert (knee), wide receiver Eli Rogers (toe), linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and safety Robert Golden (hamstring).
With Gilbert out and tackle Ryan Harris being placed on the team’s reserve/Injured list Saturday, Chris Hubbard will make his first career start at right tackle against the Jets and he’ll be backed up by Matt Feiler, who was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday.
With Golden still out injured, Jordan Dangerfield is expected to once again see some playing time on defense.
With so many injured players out again this week, quarterback Zach Mettenberger, defensive end L.T. Walton and linebacker Steven Johnson will all dress Sunday against the Jets.
