The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their list of seven players who will be inactive for Sunday’s 2016 regular season home opener against the Cincinnati Bengals and it doesn’t include the name of starting linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee).
Shazier, who suffered a knee injury during the second half of the Monday night regular season opener, entered Sunday listed as questionable after being able to practice fully on Friday.
As expected, the Steelers Week 2 inactive list does include three players who were ruled out for Sunday’s game with injuries and they are fullback Roosevelt Nix (back), center/guard Cody Wallace (knee) and cornerback Senquez Golson (foot).
Wide receiver Markus Wheaton (shoulder) is down once again as the Steelers former third-round draft pick will need another week to overcome his shoulder injury.
Quarterback Zach Mettenberger, defensive end L.T. Walton and linebacker Steven Johnson are all healthy scratches for the Steelers this week.
